Bill got his introduction to handball  on the Roosevelt Junion High Courts in Modesto.  His playing days were intrupted until he was thirty-four years old when he discovered the SOS club and started hitting the ball around.  He came to life at fifth when he started playing with then partner Fred Godbout. They won every tournament they entered. In 1991 he won his first nationals in Atlanta with partner Bob Maletich. They won six straight YMCA Nationals. As of this printing Bill has won nine national titles and won the world singles title in Winnipeg, Canada. According to Bill handball has kept him alive and strong all these years and hopefully years to come.
